A large NHS organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Communications professional for a period of 6 months on an interim basis. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to communication, marketing and engagement strategies for the organisation. monitoring their implementation and effectiveness; 
  • Draft, implement and evaluate communication plans, campaigns and engagement plans to support a range of organisational needs;
  • Oversee internal communication, and support wider employee engagement, leading to high levels of staff engagement and well-informed and motivated workforce;
  • Provide advice and specialist communication, marketing and engagement support to SMT; 
  • Plan, implement and improve internal communications to provide colleagues with the information and knowledge so they can make decisions based on up to date and correct information; 
  • Manage internal communication channels which meet the needs of the organisation and colleagues; 
A successful candidate will have:
  • 3+ years’ experience in managing internal communications/marketing for a large NHS organisation; 
  • Demonstrable track record of contributing to, implementing communication strategies, policies plans and campaigns within the NHS; 
  • Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills; 
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential and ambiguous information and translate it into plain English; 
  • Be able to be innovative and creative, keen to consider new approaches and able to convey the vision to others; 
  • Hold Up-to-date communication/marketing theory and best practice.
