Head of Procurement

Practicus are partnering with a London based NHS organisation who are urgently seeking Interim Head of Procurement (8c/d Inside IR35).

• Responsible for the development, implementation and on-going management of the Procurement Strategy for the Programme to influence legal compliance of procurement policy and supporting legislation across programme and to generate value for money for the organisation, the Department of Health and Ambulance Service.
• Lead the development and implementation of procurement policies and system strategies to support tendering, contracts management, spend analytics and supplier performance management.
• Lead the development and implementation of commercial and supplier management policies and strategies to support the effective management of suppliers, drive best value from contracts and meet the management requirements of the Department of Health,
• To lead the development of new supply chains including small/medium enterprises (SMEs) to create greater competition and align the business to category procurement strategies.

Essential:

• The interim will have extensive experience in both Procurement Management and Contract Management, particularly in relation to communication and information technology systems.
• Accountable and responsible for the strategic selection of communication services on behalf of all trusts nationally.
• Responsible for the relationship management structure (how the parties work together to make both day to day operational decisions as well as strategic decisions)
• Setting strategic direction for exit management plans as a controlling mechanism to encourage the organisations to make ethical, proactive changes for the mutual benefit of all the parties.
• Compliance to special concerns and regulations, which include the more traditional components of contract compliance
• Excellent engagement skills at all levels of seniority
• Passion for delivery, willing to go the extra mile for the project at hand

RATE: £350.00 to £500.00 per day (INSIDE IR35)

START: March

DURATIONS: 6 months initially
