We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join a brand new team and help to develop a new service for people in the “transforming care” pathway with complex needs including Learning Disability, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, mental health needs, trauma and behaviours of concern. You will play a key role in ensuring that the services our customers receive are consistent with a high quality Positive Behaviour Support provision. You will work with a wider team including a Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and a team of Support Workers to ensure that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and great quality of life. You will support customers and their families to transform lives and build independence.

As our Clinical Registered Manager you will be a compassionate and knowledgeable leader, ensuring the delivery of a high quality, cost effective person centred service in line with CQC Fundamental Standard regulatory requirements. You will lead the team to empower customers to maximise their opportunities for independence as well as making it a great place to work.  You’ll support the service with the implementation and development of all performance indicators, essential standards, and quality outcomes. You’ll also keep abreast of relevant news from regulators, legislators and updates from the wider health and social care sector, keeping your team up to date.

Being an experienced clinician, you will develop and deliver training as well as coaching to enhance the knowledge and skills of our teams, as well as promoting regular, honest and supportive feedback to ensure our customers receive a brilliant standard of care.  You’ll be working within a fabulous team who together will be super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.   This is a brand new team so you will have the opportunity to grow and develop together. You will supported by the wider New Model of Care clinical Team who will give you loads guidance to help you be fab at your job. They come from all backgrounds including OT, nurses and wider social provision. There are 9 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our staff and customers, we’re there for each other too!  We guarantee every day will be different which will inspire and challenge you. You will constantly learn new things and be stretched professionally, emotionally and practically; your learning will be immense.  And you won’t be on your own, we are recruiting a big team to deliver excellent person centred support in this service.

A bit about you

You’ll hold a relevant professional registration and have an excellent understanding of relevant regulatory policies and procedures, including fundamental standard regulations such as NICE guidelines and CQC regulations. You will also have experience of working with individuals with complex presentations and behaviours of concern.

You’ll lead on the recruitment of great colleagues who share our values and passion for brilliant customer care and will set colleagues up for success in their roles. This will include effective induction meeting Care Certificate Standards for knowledge and competence, encouraging / monitoring completion of this within probationary review period.  You're used to embedding a culture of strong communication and reflective practice. We will support you to lead, manage and govern your team, assuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. You will ensure the competence of your team through a process of observation and assessment, coaching, mentoring and directing as required.

We will be managing 24 hr support, which will be on a rolling rota (yet to be decided) and you and your team will support to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays. So we need you to be flexible.

You must be able to drive and have access to a car for work as you'll be required to travel and work throughout the county of Kent.

If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.
