Human Resources Advisor

The Finegreen Group is working in partnership with a leading NHS provider organisation based in London that requires an experienced HR Advisor for a five-month assignment commencing in March. This role is at AfC band 6 equivalent with a day rate of between £190 and £210 per day.

The Trust is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HR professional to provide support to the HR team for a case load of investigations into employment matters including disciplinary, grievance and harassment issues and support managers in performance management issues. The postholder will ensure the provision of advice to all managers within the Trust regarding all aspects of employment policy and procedure for all categories of staff, as well as associated post-employment issues.

Key responsibilities will include;
  • Lead on all disciplinary incl. MHPS, grievance, harassment investigations;
  • Provide support to long term sickness cases at Stage 2 and beyond;
  • Provide support to short term sickness cases when disciplinary sanctions are necessary;
  • Provide support to formal capability processes;
  • Arrange hearings including Board appeals Monitor progress and reporting against HR KPIs;
  • Responsible for delivering people management training to up skill managers incl. e-learning resources;
  • Provide support to staff when completing witness statements;
  • Administration staff will transcribe minutes of hearings and meetings and prepare interview notes and arrange for them to be signed.
Key experience & skills will include;
  • Graduate CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and development);
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience;
  • Experience of recent generalist HR experience in a large, complex organisation;
  • Experience across a broad range of HR work including HR policy development and implementation, as well as HR casework Strongly developed communication skills including the ability to communicate complex information with fully developed persuasive, negotiating and influencing skills;
  • Analytical and judgement skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex situations;
  • Ability to create and develop good partnership Up to date and thorough working knowledge of Employment Law and Human Resource Best Practice;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the full range of HR and HR policy issues and best practice.
