A large healthcare organisation is currently seeking a very capable individual, this candidate will have a proven track record of working at senior level within NHS Commissioning. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the STP Development and Delivery team to ensure that the STP work stream and programmes are planned and carried out effectively;
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the STP Development and Delivery team, Alliances and to STP with regard to the development and delivery of programme;
  • Be the Programme Lead, working with other programme leads to deliver the STP and the objectives set, fulfilling CCG reporting requirements;
  • Oversee the development and delivery of the related QIPP schemes and other appropriate transformation initiatives;
  • Create and implement the strategy for development, gaining engagement from stakeholders and ensuring it is in line with the CCGs vision for strategic and local commissioning;
  • Provide commissioning leadership to locality wide pathways and projects, liaising with clinical leads and providing support to relevant workstream leads;
  • Work across the directorate portfolio to align workloads of the teams and ensure key projects are prioritised and will engender integrated and matrix working across the teams within the directorate and across the wider CCG.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Hold a thorough understanding of the relationship between the Department of Health, NHS England and individual provider and commissioning organisations;
  • Demonstrated experience of working at senior level within a Commissioning organisation;
  • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement with other health and social care partners.
