Learning & Development Advisor

The Finegreen Group is working in partnership with an NHS organisation based in London that requires an interim Learning & Development Advisor for a two-month assignment commencing in June.

The role is key to supporting the Trust in delivering its organisational development and learning priorities. This will be achieved through supporting delivery of the OD and learning agenda and the associated work streams.

This will include the implementation of specific OD and learning initiatives within the Trust on specific topics/projects as required, deploying a range of tools and methodologies. Topics and projects may include: culture change, embedding of Trust values, leadership development programmes, statutory and mandatory training, talent development and apprenticeships.

Key responsibilities will include;
  • Lead the delivery of Trust induction and statutory and mandatory (StaM) training provision;
  • Lead the delivery of all standard training provision within the Trust, including appraisal training, equality and diversity and other Trust wide training interventions;
  • Support the Head of Learning and Development and the Workforce Department with the promotion and implementation of OD and learning related Trust initiatives;
  • Lead specific OD and learning projects/interventions producing project plans with clearly defined objectives to monitor delivery, producing reports/briefing papers and other written communication as necessary;
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Learning and Development, the Workforce Department and operational managers to promote and implement OD related Trust initiatives to drive forward the OD and learning agenda removing barriers to change.
Key experience & skills will include;
  • Relevant degree level qualification;
  • CIPD qualified or relevant experience;
  • Understanding of national developments within a healthcare / NHS context;
  • Able to interpret equality, diversity and human rights in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures and good practice, with an understanding of how this applies to learning, development and OD;
  • Evidence of continuing professional or personal development;
  • Experience of working collaboratively with and engaging the services of external consultants and training providers;
  • Experience of developing strong working relationships at all levels;
  • Experience of managing an e-learning platform;
  • Excellent presentation skills.
