Job Type

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is a leading provider of mental and physical healthcare services, and specialist learning disability services predominantly delivered in the community.  We are an award-winning organisation employing over 3,000 staff with an annual income of circa £138 million. Our population is one of the most multicultural and vibrant in Britain with over 100 languages. In Craven district we serve one of the most sparsely populated areas in the UK and in contrast some of our inner-city localities are amongst the fastest growing and most deprived in the country reflected in a higher than average demand for health services and reduced life expectancy.

At this challenging and dynamic period of change in the delivery of health and social care we are seeking a new clinical leader to join our Board. As Director of Nursing and Professions, you will work closely with our new Chief Executive, Brent Kilmurray, to provide inspirational professional leadership to our Nursing and Health Professions workforce and drive a culture of continuous quality improvement, through robust processes and systems, innovation and the empowerment of our staff.  We are recognised in the wider system as a strong, creative partner with other Mental Health and community service providers, primary care, social services, the voluntary sector, our Acute provider colleagues and with commissioners; and you will play a key role in influencing and shaping the development of services across local systems and the Bradford Health and Social Care Partnership.

We are seeking an exceptional individual who brings experience of operating at or close to board level, and of leading on corporate responsibilities. With a track record of systematically ensuring safe, high quality care, you will also be a champion for the service user experience and voice. With ambition and drive, you will also be energised and enthused by the opportunity to work at a strategic level with system partners and to realise the benefits set out in the NHS long-term plan. If you share our values and will thrive in a broad leadership position in a high performing and progressive organisation, in an exciting environment then we would love to hear from you.
