The Chief Quality Officer is a new role to our organisation and it is anticipated that this post will work extremely closely with our Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nursing Officer in providing and ensuring delivery of a comprehensive and high quality service to our patients and public. In taking this new role forward our vision is that the postholder will:-

•Develop an infrastructure to support a quality focus across the organisation.

•Support a culture which empowers people to improve care.

•Align quality systems with UHCWi methodology as appropriate.

•Align corporate and quality governance systems to ensure consistency and optimal effectiveness.

You will provide expert advice to the Trust Board, Chief Executive Team and across the organisation, and ensure that this expertise is maximised by thorough structured/specialist training programmes and effective communication techniques.

As a strategic and credible leader, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of the NHS and it’s infrastructure, with the ability to assess, analyse, synthesize and act upon complex data.

Highly credible in your field, you will have a successful track record at Director/Senior Management level and demonstrate understanding of negotiation theory and practice, combined with first class communication and influencing skills will allow you to successfully motivate and influence effectively.
