The Finegreen Group is working in partnership with an NHS Trust based in London that requires an experienced Head of Permanent Recruitment on an interim basis commencing in may. This role is at AfC band 8c with the equivalent day rate and London HCAS.
Reporting into the Associate Director of Human Resources the Head of Permanent Recruitment will be required to influence multiple resourcing plans for multiple hospital sites with considerably different requirements, and will think around the issues caused by the niche permanent staffing needs that an organisation such as this Trust requires.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Participate in wider People and general management matters as a senior member of the People team.
- Advocate, exemplify and consistently act as a role model by exhibiting the Trust values, challenging behaviour at all levels that does not reflect agreed standards
- Support the Trust’s commitment to fairness, equality and inclusion through promotion of equal opportunities, pro-active monitoring of equalities information, training and evaluation.
- Ensuring recruitment and on-boarding processes are maintained to agreed standards and improved where necessary;
- Carrying out first line management responsibilities, including staff appraisals, performance monitoring and professional development of members of staff in the Recruitment team;
- Overseeing and responsibility for all recruitment compliance in line with national guidelines.
- Degree level or equivalent experience;
- Experience of managing recruitment services in a highly governed, complex environment;
- Experience of managing customer focused services in a medium to large scale organisation.
- Significant experience of leading and managing teams.
- Experience of developing and adapting strategy into an operational environment.
- Experience of budget management.
- Relevant Professional qualification or relevant significant experience in HR;
- Experience of overseeing and leading on Healthcare recruitment initiatives;
- Demonstrable experience of planning and developing relevant policies and strategies to effectively deliver a quality centralised Recruitment service;
- Experience of managing a departmental budget effectively;
- Knowledge of medical contracts and terms and conditions.
