Job Details

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust delivers a broad range of healthcare services to around half a million people in one of the North’s most ethnically and culturally diverse cities and its surrounding areas.  We have an annual budget of almost £400 million. As a teaching hospital we help to train the next generation of healthcare professionals as well as being at the forefront of healthcare research and development.  Our 5,500 staff provide acute hospital, specialist and community-based care services through Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke’s Hospital and a range of community locations.

Following Professor Clive Kay’s appointment as Chief Executive of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a new Chief Executive who will fulfil a new and additional role as Lead for the Bradford Health and Care Partnership Board.  This appointment comes at an exciting time as we welcome Max Mclean as our new Chair and as our system in Bradford makes real progress in our integration journey.

We are seeking an inspirational Chief Executive and Partnership Lead to play a central role in continuing our journey of improvement and collaborative working.  A compassionate leader, you will embrace our values and harness the energy and talents of our staff and partners in delivering the vision of the NHS Long-Term plan.  Maintaining a focus on addressing the specific health needs of our populations will be critical and you will work with partners to ensure we provide sustainable, integrated and high quality services for all our people.

If you are an experienced and passionate healthcare leader who thrives in a dynamic and ambitious stakeholder environment, this is an exceptional role for you.  You will bring credible and inspirational leadership experience to this demanding and rewarding position with a track record of leading complex acute services as well as operating strategically across organisational boundaries.

This is a unique opportunity to make a major contribution to the future shape of services in Bradford’s health and care system.
