We are working with a challenged NHS Healthcare organisation in the South as they seek to appoint a Project Manager on an interim basis to support a Trauma & Orthopaedics transformation project that is crucial to the organisation moving forwards. 

The role will be for 3 months in the first instance and will be under the NHSI Agency caps/CCS NMNC Framework. Interim contractor rates will be reflected at Band 8b.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To support the delivery of a key high profile Trauma & Orthopaedics project for the organisation.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area;
  • Project management qualification (i.e. PRINCE2 Practitioner) or relevant experience;
  • NHS healthcare experience;
  • Operational management experience, knowledge and understanding of Trauma & Orthopaedics services within an Acute setting;
  • Practical experience of strategic planning, project management and management of complex organisational change across multiple sites and providers;
  • Understanding and knowledge of how to scope, define and plan a project and how to deliver a project with clear deliverables and outcomes;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of project performance management processes and their role in the delivery of large change projects;
  • Knowledge of programme and project management discipline and best practice, and the role of a project manager.
