We are working with a high profile NHS Healthcare organisation in the South East as they seek to appoint a Deputy Chief Operating Officer on an interim basis.

The role will be for up to 6 months in the first instance and will be under the NHSI Agency caps/CCS NMNC Framework.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Wide range of responsibilities, including ensuring the effective development and operation of the operational services under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Lead corporate projects as required and contribute to trust wide initiatives and decision making through attendance at senior management meetings and the trust wide management meetings as required.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Graduate level qualification or equivalent experience;
  • Study towards or completed a Masters Level Management Qualification;
  • Extensive experience of management within an acute NHS environment;
  • Experience of managing large budgets and the complexities of managing high numbers of staff across a variety of disciplines;
  • Managing complex change;
  • Understanding of the Health and Social care management environment and roles and responsibilities within it;
  • Ability to develop strategy for the Health Economy.
