Temporary Staffing Manager

The Finegreen Group is working in partnership with an NHS Trust based in the South West that requires and experienced HR Project Lead for a minimum six-month assignment commencing immediately. This role is inside IR35 and at AfC band 8a.

With many challenges facing the organisation in 2019 the Trust is reviewing its recruitment function and would like an experienced NHS HR interim, ideally with good recruitment or Temporary Staffing experience, to oversee the operational day to day service delivery of the Temporary Staffing service. In addition the organisation requires the post holder to lead a full review of temporary staffing processes and systems currently in place.

Working with stakeholders the successful candidate will lead a review of the Trust’s Temporary staffing function and identify key areas of improvement. You will present findings to the senior management team and play a key role in the implementation phase of the project.

Key experience and skills required;
  • Previous experience of leading a recruitment or temporary staffing function within an NHS provider organisation;
  • Understanding of current NHSI guidelines around the procurement of agency staff;
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment;
  • Previous use of bespoke computerised systems such as Allocate, SAGE, ESR;
  • Understanding of NHS Terms and Conditions;
  • Robust experience of using MS Office products, specifically Excel;
  • Exceptional communication skills including the ability to provide verbal updates to senior colleagues;
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of service improvement;
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritise and plan own workload and that of others.
