London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) is one of the largest integrated healthcare trusts in the country, providing hospital and community services to the people of Harrow, Brent, Ealing and beyond. With a dedicated team of 9,000 clinical and support staff, we serve a diverse population of approximately one million people and have an annual income in excess of £600m. Awarded university hospital status in December 2017, we have striven to be at the forefront of NHS best practice. Our stroke service is rated as one of the best in the country and we are a research active Trust with more than 5000 patients taking part in clinical trials. We play a vital role in the education and training of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Northwick Park Hospital has the busiest A&E department in London and hosts a range of specialist services including the internationally renowned St Mark’s Hospital, a specialist centre for colorectal disease. Central Middlesex Hospital is our planned care site with an Urgent Care Centre (UCC), while Ealing Hospital is a busy district general hospital with full 24/7 A&E and UCC. We also provide a range of community services providing care closer to home, as well as community beds and a local hospice.

At LNWH, we continue to deliver a challenging savings programme and maintain financial stability while also meeting the demands of increased activity and national operational performance targets. Our vision is driven by our HEART values and behaviours which were developed with our staff. These values underpin how we interact with each other and our patients helping us to achieve our vision of putting patients at the HEART of everything we do.

As Chief Financial Officer, you will play an integral part in our future development, focussed on helping us deliver financial balance whilst providing safer care, better outcomes and better experiences for all who use our services and moving the Trust from a CQC rating of Requires Improvement to Good. As a highly intelligent, inquisitive and articulate finance professional, you will bring with you a track record of achievement in the NHS. You will be experienced at working at Board level, happy to innovate and able to deftly navigate complex systems and work in partnership with multiple stakeholders. In addition, you will have a high level of resilience, excellent negotiating skills and the ability to hold others to account for the delivery of their budgets/CIPS/ transformation targets.
