A leading healthcare organisation is looking to appoint a senior estates and facilities professional on an interim basis. The role is likely to be for a period of 3 to 6 months, whilst they recruit to the substantive post. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the strategic and operational management of a range of SFM services, continually working to increase the effectiveness, utilisation and functionality of related staffing and services;
  • Provide expert advice to clinical and corporate services on a range of service issues to ensure service continuity and business resilience (EPRR);
  • Support the development of the Facilities Strategy, including the delivery of catering, domestic, portering, transport, car parking, waste management, stores, building utilisation and business continuity. Providing reports on performance and KPI’s;
  • Hold organisational oversight in the continued analysis/assessment of services provided using Model Hospital Data, Premise Assurance Model, PLACE metrics and similar to help identify areas for improvements in compliance and performance and to compile action plans to implement;
  • Responsible for efficient management of budgets, preparation of cost improvement plans, identifying cost pressures and achieving income generation targets;
A successful candidate will have:
  • Relevant TFM related qualification/equivalent work-based experience;
  • Ideally hold Membership to BIFM, RIPHH or similar Chartered Professional Body;
  • Extensive Soft FM operational experience within a Hospital environment;
  • Experience of managing large staff teams, managing contracts and contractors including technical staffing;
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.
