Job Details
The Finegreen Group is working with an NHS organisation based in Wales that requires an interim Head of Resourcing on a fixed term contract basis. This assignment is for 6 months and at AfC band 8b level (£52,306 - £60,983).
This post has been created as part of recent changes to the Workforce & Organisational Development Team within the organisation. The role will play an integral part of the Senior Workforce and OD team, which will see the shaping and development of a newly integrated team.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Strategic resourcing leadership to the organisation for all permanent and temporary staff resourcing;
- leading and developing the recruitment, temporary staffing and E-Rostering teams.
- Work with key stakeholders across the organisation and local partners to ensure that the Health Board has robust resourcing solutions and plans in place that enable them to deliver the workforce plans that underpin the organisational strategy and annual business objectives.
- Ensuring recruitment and on-boarding processes are maintained to agreed standards and improved where necessary;
- Carrying out first line management responsibilities, including staff appraisals, performance monitoring and professional development of members of staff in the Recruitment team;
- Overseeing and responsibility for all recruitment compliance in line with national guidelines.
- Previous experience of successfully leading a strategic healthcare resourcing function;
- Providing business focused resourcing solutions;
- Understanding of the key principles of electronic rostering and temporary staffing approaches;
- Degree level or Equivalent experience;
- Demonstrable experience of planning and developing relevant policies and strategies to effectively deliver a quality centralised Recruitment service;
- Experience of managing a departmental budget effectively;
- Knowledge of managing agency and locum usage effectively and developing associated policies and procedures/reporting methods to minimise agency use;
- Knowledge of the requirements for medical recruitment;
- Knowledge of medical contracts and terms and conditions.
