Director of Nursing, AHPs and Quality
Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) provides a range of mental health services for the population of Lincolnshire including inpatient care, rehabilitation, talking and specialist psychological therapies, learning disabilities support, and some social care for adults, children, families and older people. Serving a mixed rural and urban population of around 900,000 people, the Trust provides services at 52 main sites spread across the 2720 square miles of Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. LPFT has an annual turnover of c. £100m and employs around 2,400 members of staff.
The Trust is innovative, caring and ambitious and is committed to seeking new and more effective ways to promote recovery and quality of life through mental health, social care and specialist community services provided by itself and in collaboration with partners. The Trust has a strong track record of performance across both finances and quality measures and is well placed to meet the demands of the future. In January 2019, we received a ‘Good’ rating across all domains of the CQC inspection rating and we were rated as ‘Outstanding’ for “Well-Led”.
We are looking for a Director of Nursing, AHPs and Quality who will be central in enabling the Trust to achieve our ambition of delivering outstanding services for the local community and being an outstanding employer in the region. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in shaping and delivering our future successes through ensuring our organisation is underpinned by an engaged and high-quality workforce that contribute to performance, innovation and quality improvement.
You will provide supportive and inclusive leadership to our nursing and AHP workforce and be part of a progressive board who are visible across the Trust. You will play an active role in the STP and the wider Lincolnshire healthcare system, maintaining and building good relationships with our local partners to deliver joined up care to the communities we serve. This is an exciting time to join the Trust following the appointment of a new Chief Executive and Medical Director and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the vision and strategy of the Trust whilst also playing an active part in its implementation.
This opportunity may suit someone already operating at executive director level but we recognise that this will also be an excellent opportunity for a high-performing deputy director to break through to their first executive position. The post will require the candidate to be a senior registered mental health or general nurse and would suit someone who is used to dealing with complexity, scale and challenge at a senior level. We are keen to engage with potential candidates from a variety of sectors across the NHS and we would also welcome applications from nursing leaders in aligned sectors such as social care, charities, third sector and private provision.
Above all, we want someone who is passionate about mental health, learning disabilities and improving patient outcomes, whose personal values are aligned with the values of the organisation. We are looking for an inspirational, professional nursing leader who is looking to join a collaborative and innovative organisation to drive improvements in mental health and learning disability care across the Lincolnshire health economy.
The closing date for applications is 9.00am on Monday 5th August 2019.
