The Director for Clinical Quality Governance is a key senior management appointment. The post will be of critical importance in the realisation of the Trust’s journey to outstanding, and coordinating all aspects of quality for the purposes of ward to board governance.

As a senior leader, you’ll be expected to understand and positively influence organisational culture and politics and work strategically across the organisation. You will seek out varied information and use the information to generate new ideas that make up effective plans for risk management and quality and safety improvements. You’ll be open and inquisitive for information, investigating what’s happening now and be keen to develop proposals for future improvement.

As a key member of the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Nursing team, you will work with the Healthcare Groups and key stakeholders to set out the strategic direction of good governance and management. You’ll provide reports, information and key performance measurements on quality and safety to the Trust Board and sub committees that will be vital for the effectiveness of the Trust Board quality and safety oversight.

You will be a positive role model who builds capability to enable people to meet future challenges and encourage research/thematic reviews to understand the root cause of risk and display confidence and integrity in your challenges of others.
