Main Responsibilities:
- Will be a member of the Senior Management Team, leading on clinical policy and review, risk management, audit and quality improvement;
- Work across the organisation providing professional guidance, leadership, and support for frontline teams including clinical supervision where appropriate;
- Drive forward the quality agenda, also impact the organisation in a positive way through innovative ways of working based on evidenced needs;
- Management/oversight of Clinical Working Groups, comprised of frontline posts, majority clinical, that work on the clinical workstreams generated /approved by CGC;
- Lead on the development and implementation of nursing competencies, standards and practice supporting re-validation for nurses, non medical prescribers and doctors as part of wider skill mix competency framework;
- Develop and implement effective systems and controls to evidence and manage clinical governance and risk information;
- Mentoring and support for clinical team leaders, be the direct liaison with pharmacist lead and Coordination lead on inquests;
- Act as the lead professional to SMT on all clinical issues (such as input to recruitment of clinical roles, disciplinary cases and standards of professional conduct etc).
- Current registration with the NMC either RMN or RGN, with significant managerial experience in a community setting including substance misuse settings;
- Knowledgeable of CQC requirements, also able to undertake mock inspections and implement these requirements into new services;
- Ideally hold V300 Non medical prescribing qualification/registration to the NMC.
