Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, formed in April 1995, is a provider of mental health services for children, adults and older adults in Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich and a specialist provider of Forensic and Challenging Behaviour services for Bexley, Greenwich, Lewisham, North Southwark and Bromley. The Trust also provides Learning Disability Services for Greenwich, Bexley, Bromley and Community Health Services in Bexley and Greenwich including a wide range of health (physical and mental health) in prisons across Kent and London.

Our vision is improving lives of those we serve, many of whom suffer with life-long conditions and also the lives of staff as their well-being is fundamental to the delivery of high-quality care. We improve lives by providing the best quality health and social care.

We are looking to recruit two Deputy Medical Directors (DMDs) who share our values and will work with the Executive Medical Director and the Senior Leadership team to achieve goals of greater inclusion of patients and carers in the delivery of services; closer integration of our mental and physical health services with primary, acute and social care, and involvement and engagement of clinical staff in the leadership and design of improved services.

They will share corporate accountability for the delivery of the Trust’s objectives and will work with other directors and clinical leads to set a culture of clinical engagement and continuous improvement in the quality of our services.

There will be development opportunities including trust board level experience and working across the wider health system.

For further discussions and information regarding this post, please contact Dr Ify Okocha by email: ify.okocha@nhs.net or telephone 01322 625034.

Interviews will be held on 2nd September 2019.
