An NHS organisation are looking to recruit an experienced senior contract manager for an interim 3 -6 month assignment whilst we recruit to a permanent post. The post holder will be responsible for the development and performance management of Out of Area Contracts & Acute contracts.


Requirements are:
* Must be thoroughly conversant with the NHS Standard Contract and NTPS. Must be able to demonstrate that they understand the process of recording, coding, and charging in an Acute Service.


* Demonstrable experience of supporting commissioners understand contractual issues and proficiency in option analysis. Capable of understanding complex clinical issues and working across disciplines to develop viable options


* Must be able to work alongside finance staff in agreeing contract values and resolving performance issues.


* Experience of negotiating contracts with providers and ability at interview to demonstrate your skills as a credible negotiator would be advantageous.

* Fully proficient with spreadsheets and able to skill up to use additional software that may be required is essential. The post holder will also be expected to understand the various healthcare reporting processes and work in conjunction with the informatics team in developing performance frameworks and reports

* This is a senior role and the post holder will be expected to take full responsibility for the contracts allocated to them working under the overall direction of the Senior Contract Manager (Acute Services).

* This is a role for someone who is looking for development in a rapidly changing environment. It is not a care and maintenance role nor is it a role for someone looking for training.
