An established healthcare provider is currently looking for an experienced Quality Assurance/Governance specialist. The requirement is for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave. You will need to have knowledge of CQC requirements/inspection criteria also. 

The Quality Assurance function leads on the improvement and development of the organisation’s services. Implementing and updating systems and processes to ensure and maintain that quality and patient care is the heart of what the organisation does.
The team is also responsible for the execution of strategy around risk management, compliance and clinical effectiveness. This includes full involvement in CQC planning, inspections and action planning with services as required, you will a thorough understanding of CQC requirements and standards to be suitable to this appointment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of this role:
  • Work with managers and staff to deliver the organisations clinical governance and Quality Assurance agenda;
  • Act as the Deputy Caldicott Guardian Quality improvement for the organisation;
  • Develop, manage and deliver systems for clinical governance, and risk management throughout the organisation;
  • Support and improve quality standards including ongoing compliance and annual submissions;
  • Work with directors and managers to ensure the organisation is compliant with the Care Quality Fundamental Standards” and to coordinate registration and compliance requirements, and support surgeries through inspections and any subsequent action plans;
  • Support a culture of continuous quality improvement and assurance across all services, ensuring that quality and governance is owned by all staff.
  • Support the Commercial Team and contribute to PQQ and bid proposals, reviews and clarifications;
  • Assist and review Policies and Procedures relating to Governance.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Detailed understanding of clinical governance within the NHS. Understand and translate national directives and agendas into appropriate local strategies and plans;
  • Extensive experience within Quality Assurance, Clinical Governance and CQC requirements that need to be upheld. This will be demonstrated on your CV.
