Director of Midwifery & Gynaecology Nursing
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Director of Midwifery & Gynaecology Nursing at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
We care for a diverse population across a broad geographical area, with more than 5,000 women each year receiving care from our Community Midwives, Free-standing and Alongside Midwifery Units or one of our two Obstetric Consultant-led units. In addition both Gynaecology and Integrated Sexual Health services are provided to our population across our main sites.
We are looking for an experienced Head of Midwifery to deliver outstanding Maternity Services to our women and families, and to lead our improvement journey, while ensuring the same level of focus on our Gynaecology and Integrated Sexual Health Services.
You will be a highly clinically credible leader, with strong relationship-building skills, and a clear set of personal values which puts women and families first; and engages and leads our Nurses and Midwives to deliver the best possible care.
You will be inspirational and transformational, and will have a passion for working with our women, patients and their families. You will be confident, and will possess the drive and resilience to commit to leading us through the next chapter of our journey.
With significant experience in quality and quality improvement, you will have a proven track-record of successfully leading clinical teams and managing change; placing safety, quality and patient experience at the heart of everything you do.
