As one of the largest and highest profile Foundation Trusts in the UK, UCLH comprises University College Hospital and six leading-edge specialist hospitals, providing world-class acute and specialist services for patients locally, nationally and internationally. Our agenda has never been more exciting as we deliver on one of the largest and most innovative transformation programmes in the NHS.

With a turnover of over 1 billion pounds a year and a diverse and able workforce of over 9,000 professionals, we provide internationally recognised specialist services. We are seeking an outstanding clinical leader to join the Trust Board and help develop our clinical leadership platform as we move forward towards the next stage of our development. Our new colleague will help us secure exceptional specialist hospital services through the Queen Square (National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine), Women’s Health, Eastman Dental Hospital, Royal National Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital and paediatric and young people’s care.

Our new Medical Director will be instrumental not only in driving forward the agenda on patient safety and quality across UCLH – they will also make a major contribution across the health system in shaping the configuration of services working collaboratively with our local health and care partners. The scale and complexity of this challenge is not to be underestimated yet this is a significant opportunity to play a key leadership role in a large, complex, vibrant and exciting research hospital alongside a committed and able leadership team.

Interested candidates are encouraged to contact our executive search partner Matt Simpson at: msimpson@hunter-healthcare.com
