We are seeking a talented individual who has both the technical competences and relationship building skills required to deliver real value. You will work as part of our Service Transformation Team on engagements nationwide. The purpose of the role is to lead the development of new models of care and transform clinical services within the NHS and its partners.
The successful candidate will have experience in delivery and working with customers across the lifecycle of projects and programmes to deliver service redesign with outstanding results in multiple healthcare settings.
As a service delivery organisation, our staff work in a variety of locations all over England and as such you may need to be flexible with regards to travel and working away from home in response to customer requirements.
- Work in partnership with providers / commissioners / system partnerships to transform local care systems
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative and more integrated new models of care
- Develop and implement coherent strategies to secure the sustainability of health and wellbeing services
- Redesign and improve specific services, specialties, and pathways
- Identify, develop and implement efficiency and cost improvement programmes and projects that deliver measurable benefits
- Establishing and maintaining robust project or programme management arrangements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Qualification in PRINCE2, and/or similar methodology
- Evidence of delivering service redesign across multiple healthcare settings from initial scope to implementation
- Experience at board/sub board level leading programmes or multiple workstreams in complex change programmes, or senior operational management experience
- Proven track record of delivering tangible results
- Experience in leading teams through a redesign programme of work in multiple healthcare settings
- Resilience and flexibility to meet changing demands
- Clinical background is desirable but not essential

Tell us a little bit about yourself
Prior to Attain, I worked in the NHS for six years as a medical doctor specialising in anaesthetics. Rotating through different hospitals and acute specialities gave me an in-depth knowledge of how hospital processes and policies work from the shop-floor. From the outset I’ve been involved in both elective and emergency pathways and managed specialist intensive care and maternity units, adding to my experience of co-ordinating multi-disciplinary clinical teams.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I have a keen interest in quality improvement and results from projects I have led, have been presented at multiple high-profile conferences. My interest and passion for creating a more sustainable NHS is what prompted my move to Attain.
How have your first 30 days been at Attain?
I really can’t believe it has been 30 days already! I was invited to team meetings prior to joining which meant I became familiar with Attain’s business objectives and the colleagues I would be working with, making my first day a lot easier. Attain made sure that I had a strong welcome into the company and I am surprised at how much I have got involved with from the start. I am humbled by the support that I have received especially from my managers and buddy who keep in regular contact with me.
What attracted you to Attain?
A large part are the people; we share the same passion of improving the NHS and every person I have met so far is aligned to this viewpoint. Attain lives by their values which are in line with my own and that of our health service and as a company, Attain provides support from strategy through to delivery which I think is vital in creating long lasting change.
