An opportunity has arisen for a substantive Ward Manager position on our Dementia Care unit based at Carlton Court. We have a team of 40 plus staff with many years of experience and a willingness to work in new ways and are looking for a motivational leader to move the service forward. We feel we have exciting times ahead, with future opportunities to develop a clinically led centre of excellence for Older Peoples services across Norfolk and Waveney.

You will need to be enthusiastic and skillful in driving change forward in the service. There are opportunities to influence and implement significant improvements within the ward to get involved with quality improvements. There is a clinical expectation that as the manager of the clinical team you will be expected to work at least two shifts a week with the team to provide clinical leadership and direction to the team. We are looking for an experienced mental health nurse with a proven record of strong leadership skills and a good understanding of the Mental Health Act Legislation and Mental Capacity Act are you ready for the challenge?

We can offer you clinical and management support, a relocation package (conditions apply) and an agreed remuneration for travel costs. In addition there are excellent leadership development opportunities available through the Leadership Academy.

We aim to provide person centred care to the highest standard and have a thriving activities unit and work closely with our community and intensive support teams and in-reach outreach team to find suitable placements for our settled service users. As a dementia unit, we work closely with families and carers and develop life story and care plans collaboratively and want to continue to engage closely in the future.
