Job Details
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the frontline functions of complaints, Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALs), and Bereavement Office;
- Ensure effective operational handling of the services – including smooth co-ordination with colleagues in other areas who deliver parts of these services;
- Deliver a range of on-going improvement processes working with the Head of Patient Experience and Involvement and the Associate Director of Quality as needed;
- Manage the team to ensure members of the public and colleagues receive excellent service and experience when liaising with the team;
- Be the Trust’s expert on all the above services to ensure we attain high standards which meet national best practice;
- Demonstrate leadership in how the services are run and improved in line with the Trust Strategy;
- Provide patient experience data for Board reports, Committees, statutory reporting, national requirements such as KO41, Freedom of Information requests, and other information requests as pertain to the service;
- Write and review reports, correspondence and complaint responses as required by service need.
- Experience managing a service of customer complaints and concerns in an acute NHS Trust;
- Complaints managerial experience in the NHS of at least three years’;
- Experience reviewing, writing, and monitoring complaints and correspondence to a high standard – commensurate with Executive level correspondence to the public.
