An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for a large healthcare organisation who is looking to appoint an Estates Project Manager.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team to be responsible for the delivery of a range of comprehensive projects across the organisation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide project delivery for designated schemes to ensure the successful completion to the organisation’s requirements of cost, time and quality;
  • Act as the main input on construction issues for projects and liaise with other professional colleagues - mechanical, electrical, IT, Telecommunications, Fire Safety Advisor, etc;
  • Ensure the successful completion of capital schemes and projects within designated timeframes;
  • Brief, manage and monitor the performance of design consultants and external contractors, ensuring that the requirements for all procurement regulations are complied with as necessary;
  • Provide technical estates and capital planning/costs input in the preparation of Initial Project Proposals and all business case formats;
  • Lead, direct and support multi-disciplinary project teams, and provide associated administrative function i.e. general correspondence, minutes, reports etc;
  • Undertake complex project audits and liaise with the Audit Team on systems and financial reviews of selected capital schemes;
  • Aid patients and members of the public during incidental contacts.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience in an Estates/Construction related discipline;
  • Knowledge of the relationship of building design and building services, staff management and project management to post graduate Diploma level equivalency;
  • Knowledge of building regulations;
  • Delivery of project management duties on complex projects;
  • Knowledge of tendering processes and JCT/NEC forms of contract;
  • Computer literacy especially Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
