Job Details
Main Responsibilities:
- Accountable for leading, motivating and supervising a multidisciplinary team, experienced and enthusiastic who will lead from the front;
- Develop excellent working relationships with the senior leadership team, staff, consultants and key stakeholders, supporting the clinical team to provide an excellent customer experience to facilitate the best possible clinical outcomes;
- Participating in delivery of care where necessary being a role model to ensure highest standards of theatre practice are maintained;
- Managing resources within budget and ensure quality and financial KPIs are achieved, also the governance agenda ensuring policy compliance, audit & action planning, a continuous cycle of improvement;
- Be an integral part of the SMT participating in strategy development and driving plans for achievement and success;
- Previous leadership experience within a theatre department, ideally a management qualification related also;
- Current registration as RGN or ODP;
- Evidence of effectively managing a successful team, including recruitment capability, also successful change management skills;
- Demonstrable leadership, personnel management skills, knowledge and experience, also planning and organisational skills;
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
