Job Details

A high profile NHS organisation is seeking to appoint an Interim Executive Business Manager for a 3 month period in the first instance.

This is a key role with the organization and experience in a similar role and can evidence successful team line management within the NHS is essential.

This role will be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps at Band 8a/8b

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the business of the Executive Directors’ office and provide support to ensure agreed objectives are articulated and delivered through and efficient, high quality and effective service
  • Working with certain direct reports to the Executive Directors to ensure executive functions such as Board reports, strategic and business development and external reports are fulfilled
  • Establish and continuously improve office information systems and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective service, undertaking reviews of systems and procedures as necessary
  • Work closely with the Executive Director(s), Trust Secretary, Assistant Trust Secretary and Committee Chairs, supporting the management of the relevant committee(s) of the Board of Directors. Including the compilation of agendas, production of formal minutes and follow up of actions
  • Supervise the work of the Executive/Corporate Office as required
  • Support the Trust-wide Improvement Programme
A Successful candidate will have:
  • NHS management experience
  • Experience of staff management
  • Understanding of the principles of good governance and Board assurance
  • Strong administrative skills and expertise
