A large Healthcare organisation is looking to appoint a Director of Quality to cover for 6 months. The post will be working inside IR35 and full time (37.5) working on site.

lead in creating a culture and environment in which all aspects of outstanding quality governance including risk management and continuous quality improvement are embedded.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and leadership in the areas of quality improvement, quality governance, risk, regulation, and quality performance monitoring;
  • Improve Quality Department Workforce metrics and mainstream talent mapping across Quality function;
  • Following the previous CQC inspection to ensure actions are complete and evidenced and learning is spread across organisation;
  • Strengthen PALS / Complaints joint working to share best practice, identify barriers, improve performance, and realign workload;
  • Review and refocus approach to Patient Experience and Engagement;
  • Review process for annual review of Quality Strategy and reporting on KPI’s;
  • Support to embed a learning culture across the organisation through the triangulation of, mortality, complaints, incident, and claims.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Specialised knowledge and experience of recent clinical practice in an acute healthcare setting;
  • Significant experience of Quality Improvement tools, techniques, and methodology;
  • Demonstrable experience of identifying, building, and maintaining relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders across systems to deliver transformational change programmes;
  • Significant experience in leading clinical governance in a health care setting;
  • Experience of working across organisational boundaries delivering projects across multi-disciplinary services or sites, working with a range of multi-disciplinary stakeholders including external agencies and regulators;
  • Experience of managing a high performing team and accountable for multiple budgets;
  • Demonstrate experience of communicating highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information to a range of stakeholders.
