Job Details

A large NHS Trust in the North West is looking to bring in some additional interim support due to an increase in workload within the Workforce Information team.

Main responsibilities:
  • Support the design and implementation of high quality workforce information reports.
  • Be the Subject matter expert in ESR and its reporting capability.
  • Provide detailed analysis of activity, and present this information to internal and external audiences as required.
  • Produce regular reports to meet the needs of a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Support the development of relevant QlikView dashboards and applications that are vital to the functioning of the Trust.
  • Support driving the optimisation of ESR across the Trust and plan, implement and promote the effective use of the system.
  • Work closely with the BI Team to facilitate the move of reporting onto QlikView, developing reports in BI.
  • Create and design reporting solutions which drive forward important workforce indicators enabling the Trust to provide triangulated and predictive rather than retrospective data for managers.
  • Line management of two Workforce Information Analysts.
Successful candidates will have:
  • Knowledge of ESR and experience of using reporting tools such as Business Intelligence
  • Experience of designing sophisticated reports and extracting information from Oracle based systems into Excel
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, ideally including use of pivot tables and V Lookup functions
  • Experience of collating and analysing statistical information
  • Significant experience of working with the ESR system or similar workforce system.
  • Experience of line managing a team
  • High level of proficiency in analysing and presenting complex data
