A large healthcare organisation is looking to appoint an exciting new opportunity for a Governance Manager on an interim basis in the West Midlands.

Manage and support complex Complaints and Serious Incidents using RCA and Datix.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently Investigating of serious Incidents and Complex complaints using root cause analysis and datix reporting system;
  • Data analysis and report writing, having experience with NHS policies and procedures;
  • Effectively ensure timely and comprehensive investigations of serious incidents;
  • Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of serious incidents within a healthcare setting;
  • Manage all incidents, ensuring precise, correct, complete and recorded on the incident information database promptly and accurately;
  • Maintain a confidential approach to all issues, handling them with appropriate sensitivity and
  • Professionalism;
  • Apply Root Cause Analysis practices and processes, conducting an end to end serious incident investigation process;
  • Risk Management experience to support with audits;
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies, and issues in relation to both the specific client group and mental health.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Must have worked within the NHS and with a background on conducting SI and RCA;
  • Knowledge and experience in using Datix;
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential information;
  • Clear communicator with excellent written and verbal skills;
  • Prioritise workload and manage time effectively, to meet tight deadlines;
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships and develop networks to ensure effective Patient Safety.
