Could you play a key role in influencing and shaping the regulation of health and social care services in Jersey?

The Jersey Care Commission is responsible for regulating and inspecting care homes, children’s homes, adult day care services and the care and support provided to people in their own homes (domiciliary care).  In due course, the Commission will regulate all health and social care services on the Island, including hospital and community health and social care services.

We intend to appoint two Commissioners to join the existing team, people who are passionate about helping to improve health and social care services, and willing to be part of the team.

Applicants should have previous experience of working in a health, social care, or related regulatory environment, or have experience of using local services, either as a care receiver or as a carer for a family member or for a friend who is a service user.  Applicants must also have the skills needed to work as part of a team and to help influence change.

Commissioners are required to work approximately 8 days per annum, at £312 per day. The appointments will be for an initial three-year period.

For further information or for an informal discussion about the work of the Commission please contact Audrey Murphy on 01534 445801, email: a.murphy2@gov.je

A full role description, an application pack and background information can be found at our website via the apply button below.

Applicants will need to submit a CV and covering letter by 5.00pm on Friday 9 October 2020.
