The Greater Manchester Provider Federation Board (PFB) is part of the Greater Manchester (GM) Health & Social Care Partnership and is the voice of GM NHS providers. It has a prominent leadership role across GM working in tandem with key organisations to promote collaborative working and innovative practices. To help PFB go further faster we need an experienced and credible Managing Director - that’s where you come in.

The Role

This is an exciting career opportunity for an innovative and exceptional leader to deliver against emerging national policies and local requirements agreed by PFB. Operating at a level commensurate with that of a Chief Executive, you will lead and manage the entire PFB infrastructure, governance arrangements and secretariat.

Given this is a new role introduced at a time of significant national change across Health and Social Care, you will need to be able to respond positively to what is a dynamic environment while, at the same time, demonstrate the ability to deliver a complex agenda to the satisfaction of all PFB members. You will also need to exercise well developed diplomatic skills and lead effective networking and business relationships to ensure PFB remains a credible, robust and respected membership organisation across GM, the North West Region and nationally.

About You

With significant experience working at a senior level in NHS provider organisations and with an established profile as a successful and highly respected leader, you will be eager for the challenge. You must also be an inspirational leader and exceptional communicator.

It goes without saying you will have excellent strategic thinking and analytical abilities as well as an aptitude to work effectively with senior leaders. Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to command respect from a wide range of senior interested parties will be imperative to your success in this role.
