A large healthcare organisation is looking to appoint an exciting new opportunity for a Divisional Governance Manager.

The post will be start ASAP, working inside IR35, on site 30 hours per week (some negotiation to work from home 1-2 days per week).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the Quality Governance Assurance Framework ensuring that the quality of care in the division, patient experience, patient safety and clinical effectiveness is of the highest standard, meeting national and local outcomes;
  • Provide information relating to the divisional compliance with CQC ensuring that Health Assure is updated in a timely way;
  • Ensure that the Quality, Safety and Risk Management Framework is embedded in the division;
  • Co-ordinate clinical and non-clinical risk management activities across the division;
  • Ensure dissemination of the Patient Safety Alerts from the NPSA and co-ordinate the responses to ensure that appropriate action plans are in place and actioned;
  • Co-ordinate local audit programme where required, to foster an active multi-professional approach to audit and disseminate the learning from completed audit projects in the wider arena
  • Monitor incidents/events recorded via the organisation’s reporting system relating the division to co-ordinate and communicate actions taken locally and disseminate appropriately any issues that could promote organisational learning.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Must be registered with NMC or HCPC register;
  • Clear understanding of the current NHS issues and initiatives pertaining to Clinical Governance and practice;
  • Understanding and insight into the challenges of addressing the Clinical Governance/Quality agenda;
  • Understanding of the respective roles and remit of CQC, Monitor, MHRA, NHSLA, NICE and other Government Healthcare Organisations;
  • Knowledge of incident reporting systems and clinical risk;
  • People management skills, including leadership, decision making, negotiating, influencing, and persuading skills.
