Dorset HealthCare is all about progress and innovation and ensuring we achieve the best possible patient care and health and wellbeing outcomes for all our communities.  Working together as one system with our partner organisations, we have been chosen to host the new and exciting role of System Flow Director, and we need an outstanding and highly motivated individual to lead this critical work across the Dorset Integrated Care System (ICS).

The ICS has a track record of joining up services and this role will be central to the next phase of this work.  The System Flow Director will have a clear view across all our health and care services, with the aim of:

•helping avoid hospital admissions

•ensuring treatment and care are provided close to home

•supporting our patients to flow effectively and safely through services

•discharging patients when ready to the most suitable place, preferably their home

This is an exciting senior leadership role with the opportunity to make decisions on behalf of all agencies in the system to ensure patients have the right care, at the right time and in the right place.

Experience of leading large-scale transformational projects is a must, along with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to deliver accurate and innovative solutions at pace.  You will have a proven track record of building effective and collaborative relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and will be comfortable with complexity and using data to inform decisions.

You’ll be proactive and accomplished at working across a range of organisations to pool, coordinate and redistribute existing resources. You’ll also ensure the focus is on safe early discharge, out of hospital assessment, improving patient outcomes and home-based rehabilitation.

Employment in this post requires a Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
