Our vision is: To be a leader in the delivery of high-quality care and a champion for those we serve. We strive to deliver high quality, safe services through our values: caring and compassionate; respectful; honest and transparent. We have an excellent reputation for the quality and innovation of our services. We are also committed to providing a great place to work for our 7,000 staff.

We are committed to embedding a culture of learning and continuous improvement, based on devolved decision-making through collective and clinical leadership which nurtures talent and is in line with the trust’s vision, values and strategic ambitions.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to become our Chief Operating Officer who can lead, innovate, inspire, motivate, support and challenge our dedicated workforce across our operational services to deliver outstanding well-led, safe, responsive, effective and caring outcomes. The person we appoint will also ensure that families and carers and local communities are at the centre of everything we do, in line with the trust’s Together: Service User and Carer Involvement Strategy.

You will have overall responsibility for operational services; their delivery, transformation and redesign; the performance management of all quality standards across our clinical services; over 5,000 clinical and support staff; and the leadership and line-management of our four Locality Group Directors, Group Medical Directors, Group Nurse Directors (triumvirates) and their teams.

Candidates should possess a good understanding of national health and care policies as they relate to mental health and disabilities. An interest in and experience of improving equality, diversity and inclusion and tackling inequalities would be invaluable.
