Due to the promotion of the existing Director a new opportunity has arisen in the Executive Team for the NHS in the East of England. This strategic role within NHSE/I will report to the Regional Director and will lead the team to support NHS providers and systems deliver performance and increase efficiency through effective annual planning, strong performance monitoring and extensive co-production and support. They will also have the executive oversight of one of the 6 systems in the East of England on behalf of the Regional Director and will be the lead on regulation. The post holder will also be the lead for the region on emergency response and will be the COVID 19 Incident Director.

The successful candidate will know the NHS well, have significant experience at a senior level in a Trust and have proved themselves in working as part of a board. They will equally enjoy working with data and the analysis of it, feel confident to credibly engage with local NHS leaders and National Directors and be successful practical problem solvers with strong critical thinking skills.

This is a demanding and fast paced role which could be undertaken from a wide range of backgrounds and will require a full time commitment although a significant proportion can be delivered virtually with, post COVID, probably only 2 days a week required within the region.
