Executive Director of Nursing

A large healthcare organisation is looking to appoint an experienced board level Nursing professional to be part of their Executive Team for an interim period whilst they look to appoint on a permanent basis. 

Main Responsibilities:

• As an Executive Director and member of the Trust Board, contribute to the collective decision-making of the Board and take shared responsibility for the overall success and future direction of the organisation;
• Promote and ensure delivery of excellent standards of Nursing and Midwifery care across the organisation;
• Ensure the Trust meets its obligations to our patients and the community they serve to provide them with an excellent experience when using services;
• Lead and ensure that the Trust meets its statutory obligations in relation to Infection Prevention & Control;
• Provide a focal point for the professional leadership of the Nursing and Midwifery workforce within the organisation ,at all times ensuring compliance with the requirements of statute and the professional regulating bodies;
• Be responsible for the provision of professional advice to Trust Board, Executive Directors and Senior Nursing and Midwifery Team; Act as the lead Executive for Allied Health Professionals;
• Be responsible for ensuring that quality and performance information is triangulated against
• financial data to ensure high quality clinical and financially sustainable services;

A successful candidate will have:

• Current NMC registration, First Degree in Nursing;
• Significant Board level experience;
• Extensive experience leading and managing staff and teams and budgets
• Can demonstrate bridging the gap between the Board to ward and being clinically credible.
