A high profile NHS organisation is seeking to appoint an Interim Project Manager for the Covid-19 Mass Vaccination Programme. This role will be for a 3 month period in the first instance.
This is a key role within the organisation and healthcare footprint and experience at this level within an NHS organisation is essential. Experience within a PMO and/or a project management qualification is highly desirable.
This role will start ASAP and be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps at Band 8b.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Working internally and externally to deliver projects, initiatives and services to time and in a cost effective way
  • Delivery of region wide testing initiatives
  • Co-ordination between the NHS and other stakeholder partners
  • To support the identification and sharing of best practice to support service improvement
  • To operate in a highly political and sensitive environment
  • Support the portfolio of projects and workstreams in demonstrating value for money tracking, managing and delivering agreed benefits
  • Provide advice and prepare strategic reports and briefings for directors and stakeholders
  • In depth analysis, interpretation and production of complex and multiple reports
  • Working with regional and national colleges to contribute to and influence national strategy and operational plans to make sure the needs of the population of the specific healthcare footprint are met
  • Managing risks ensuring they are appropriately identified, and controls and/or mitigation is in place, escalating to relevant authorities as appropriate
  • To monitor, interpret and qualify assure progress against deliverables
A Successful candidate will be/have:
  • Educated to Masters level or equivalent level or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
  • Experience of project and programme management techniques and tools such as Prince 2 or Managing Successful Projects
  • Involvement in delivery of complex transformation programmes
  • Working with diverse, multiple stakeholders in complex public sector environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in a Healthcare environment
  • Experience of leading and delivering complex change and projects in a politically sensitive and complex environment
