A large healthcare organisation is looking to appoint an Associate Director of Quality Governance based in London.

This is an interim post for 4 months, looking to start at the end of December 2020 / beginning of January 2021.

Working 4 days per week and on-site presence will be needed.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide a robust clinical governance framework that enables good outcomes and positive patient experience;
  • Lead role in the organisation ensuring that appropriate risk management processes are in place to mitigate and manage risks at both service and organisational level;
  • Lead for CQC compliance and manage the quality governance and patient experience teams;
  • Provide visible leadership promoting a culture of continuous improvement to maintain patient safety and enhance patient experience;
  • Delivery of clinical governance including patient safety, clinical audit and risk management across the organisation;
  • Oversight of the implementation of CQC recommendations and monitor delivery of the improvement plan;
  • Ensure that risk assessments are applied systematically across the organisation to be assessed against the regulations.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Clinical registration is desirable but not essential;
  • Significant NHS experience including leading and managing staff;
  • Evidence of successfully developing and implementing quality assurance systems, patient safety, risk management and governance strategies;
  • Sound knowledge of CQC requirements and experience of CQC inspection process;
  • Detailed understanding of Risk Management Processes;
  • Experience of assessing quality and risk;
  • Robust understanding of clinical governance systems and processes;
  • Experience developing and reviewing organisational policies and procedures.
