Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Children's

Practicus are partnering with an NHS organisation who are urgently seeking an 8c Interim Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Children

To advise the organisation and other involved parties on the requirements that will inform the strategic development of child protection, children in need and vulnerable children services across both primary, community and secondary care.

The designated nurse will lead and support all activities necessary to ensure that organisations within the health community meet their responsibilities to safeguard and protect children and young people in the health economy.

Manage the safeguarding children and Looked after Children function, including developing and managing the annual work plan, progress and dashboard reporting and risk and issue management.

Essential:

• Evidence of expertise in safeguarding children practice with reference to children in need and children in need of protection
• Proven experience of working with looked after children in a clinical setting
• Experience as a named / designated nurse for Safeguarding Children
• Experience of facilitating change by collaborating with stakeholders within children's services, across other professions and both intra- and inter- organisationally to produce innovative practice and service development to improve outcomes for children

RATE: £383.92pd (Inside IR35)
