Band 8a - £32.15 per hour

Remote based

December/January - March 2021 - with potential to extend into the next financial year.

A Programme Manager/Project Manager urgently needed to lead a maternity and neonatal system programme that will lead to quality improvements to reduce the number of stillbirths, neonatal deaths, maternal deaths and brain injuries that occur during or soon after birth.

In line with a national NHS plan, this Clinical Commissioning Group is keen to complete this business-critical programme with a vision for maternity services across its region to become safer, more personalised, kinder, professional and more family-friendly.

The Programme Manager/Project Manager will work on system priorities for the CCG/ICS and be responsible for leading a programme team, predominantly with oversight of the local maternity and neonatal system programme.

Although the programme will be the main focal point this person will also support the Strategic Quality and Transformation Manager to develop project management strategies for the Quality, Transformation and Oversight team. This includes contributing towards Project Management best practice and improvements to the PMO including governance.

This person will need to develop relationships but also have that ability to challenge stakeholders trying to deal with their own challenges in the midst of a pandemic.

Desirable skills & experience:
