A large NHS organisation is currently seeking a very capable individual who has NHS Estates expertise across CDM, Health & Safety also Quality Assurance to join their PMO within Capital Development.
Due to continued and rapid expansion within the Capital Development PMO, my client is looking for an Estates professional who has expertise within CDM, Health and Safety also Estates Quality Assurance to join in a management position.
The remit of the requirement is as below:
Due to continued and rapid expansion within the Capital Development PMO, my client is looking for an Estates professional who has expertise within CDM, Health and Safety also Estates Quality Assurance to join in a management position.
The remit of the requirement is as below:
- Advise on implementation of CDM Regulations
- Assist with setting up and implementing CDM management arrangements
- Monitor implementation of behalf of organisation in regard to designers and contractors, also undertake periodic audits of Principal Designers;
- Attendance and input in the Capital Works Project Steering Group meetings (weekly);
- General advice on CDM/H&S aspects of the Concerto Project Management system under
- Development;
- Provide organisation with CWP Management Team with monthly status reports, also CDM/H&S training sessions for staff as required;
- Undertake gap analysis review of the CWP CDM/H&S management systems, assist with updates to CWP CDM/H&S documents, templates and guidance;
- Support PMO and provide project specific CDM/H&S advice and assistance;
- Confirm suitable CDM capability checks are being carried out on Principal Designers, Principal
- Contractors and client appointed designers and contractors;
- Provide CDM/H&S support as required to CWP PM’s / staff during pre-construction phase;
- Attend design/progress meetings as required, also confirm that suitable information is made available by organisation and confirm additional surveys are commissioned, as necessary;
- Provide advice and assistance in relation to pre-construction information and design risk management;
- Confirm that relevant projects are notified to the HSE; attend contractor pre-start meetings as required to advise on CDM/H&S matters, also suitable checks are being carried out on the construction phase plan and welfare;
- Review and approve organisations appointed contractors risk assessments and safe method statements for high risk activities;
- Extensive experience working within a healthcare setting, also a thorough understanding of major capital work schemes;
- Thorough understanding of CDM regulations, also the Quality Assurance that needs to be met within NHS estates projects;
- Ideally hold Health and Safety qualification.
