Job Details
Main role responsibilities
- Provide leadership and performance management of the Financial Accounting Team, Treasury Management, Procurement and Charity;
- Lead the Annual Accounts Process;
- Ensure appropriate accounting rules are followed to ensure that the Trust receives unqualified accounts;
- Lead the capital planning process ensuring the smooth running of the Capital Management Group and its 3 subgroups;
- Manage the effective delivery of the capital programme to ensure that the capital budget is delivered;
- Lead the Treasury Function, ensuring detailed cash flow reports are shared with board and understood and that any risk to liquidity is mitigated;
- Manage an effective payroll function and appropriate re-procurement and contract management.
- CCAB qualification
- Experience leading the year-end accounts for a NHS Trust
- Strong technical skills
- Willingness to ‘roll the sleeves up’
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
