As the Director of Employee Voice and Inclusion, you will be responsible for listening to and delivering a great experience for all employees. Leading a specialist team to manage diversity, inclusion, employee voice and a wide variety of people programmes, this role is vital in delivering our objectives, cultures and values as a Workforce & Corporate Business Directorate. The role will work alongside an excellent workforce team to encourage a happy, engaged and fulfilled workforce by building advocacy with our employees and delivering dynamic, collaborative programmes of work.

We are looking for an experienced and motivational leader in employee experience with a demonstrable ability to lead high performing teams and deliver on key business objectives. This is a fast-paced role that will have an impact on how employees feel when they come to work.

 

Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative and influential leader that can build and develop a culture that values diversity as a key principle to achieving the Trust’s strategic ambitions and organisational goals. Delivered through the MFT People Plan and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy Diversity Matters you will deliver your expertise in employee experience and engagement, ensuring voice is heard and actioned across the Trust, to lead workforce diversity as a strategic proposition. In addition, you will oversee and co-ordinate the work of the Freedom to Speak Up Guardian, championing the role and its purpose across MFT as well as the new Wellbeing Guardian role which is currently being scoped.

As a senior member of the Workforce and Corporate Business Directorate accountable to the Group Executive Director of Workforce and Corporate Business,  you will work collaboratively with the senior leadership team on a range of discrete strategic projects requiring you to have the experience of a wide remit and a strong skill set in business, relationship management and people advocacy.

 

About You

You must have the ability to inspire and engage as well as the competence to lead a large workforce with confidence. Your sense of purpose and commitment to achieving results coupled with the gravitas to influence people is essential. You will be a bold, inspiring and emotionally intelligent leader with proven experience of shaping organisational vision and strategy, as well as delivering outstanding results. With a wide remit, both internal and external in focus, you will be highly skilled at managing multiple people projects and relationships with high profile stakeholders in order to deliver tangible outcomes. You will possess excellent people management skills as well as be able to operate with a clear, concise and accessible approach.

Your career history means you will have produced impressive results with evidence of implementing service changes for the benefit of patients and staff. With a relevant post graduate qualification or equivalent experience and a track record of continuous personal development, you will be accustomed to a demanding job.
