Job Details

We are currently supporting the National NHS COVID 19 Mass Vaccination Programme; we are seeking senior clinicians with extensive managerial experience on a full and part time basis. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the leadership, planning and delivery of the vaccination: clinical and non-clinical oversight & governance of the site and ensure the efficient delivery of vaccination services;
  • Decision making on day to day delivery of services and operational issues for areas across the site;
  • Ensure the delivery of high quality, patient focused and cost-effective services in line with the Centre Strategic Direction and National Vaccination Programme which reflect the needs of all stakeholders;
  • Provide clinical leadership, ensuring that all clinical staff are aligned with the Site and Programme objectives and are working effectively at the highest levels of safety and quality;
  • Manage and coordinate necessary logistics and liaise with third party suppliers to coordinate stock, deliveries and transport of materials and supplies to the centre;
  • Ensure the services and activities are of the highest levels of safety and quality, provided by professionals with the right skills, attitude and values, and are cost effective and remain within budget;
  • Analyse and interpret data as required using complex management and clinical information in order to support and deliver the Performance management agenda (using financial, manpower, activity, waiting list & performance data);
  • Demonstrate a level of interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrable ability to engage staff and stakeholders at all levels;
  • Engage and involve senior clinical staff in core business and clinical processes, planning and decision making;
  • Efficiently deal with crisis, emergencies and contingencies with the lowest level of disruptions;
  • Provide and develop a working environment and open culture which fosters high morale and commitment among all staff and promotes their wellbeing and personal development;
  • Ensure that the practice complies with Data Protection/ Confidentiality/ Caldicott principles in addition to Statutory and Regulatory guidelines of the Professional Bodies (NMC, RCN and others).
A successful candidate will have:
  • Hold current NMC pin/registration as an RGN with considerable experience of working at senior management level (Band 8c equivalent and above) within a healthcare setting;
  • Experience of managing workforce both clinical and non-clinical, budget management;
  • A proven track record of working in a busy environment showing adaptability, flexibility and ability to cope with uncertainty and change.
