Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust specialises in the provision of Mental Health, Substance Misuse, wider specialist services such as eating disorders, as well as Children’s Universal and Learning Disability services across the county. We are a central partner in Derbyshire’s Integrated Care System ‘Joined up Care Derbyshire’ working to provide the best care and services as efficiently and effectively as possible.  Rated Good by the CQC, ‘People First’ is central to delivering our vision to make a positive difference in people’s lives through improving their health and well-being.  Regionally and nationally recognised for our innovative inclusion initiatives, we are committed to ensuring equality, diversity, inclusion, and human rights are central to the way we deliver outstanding healthcare services to our service users and how we support and empower our staff.

Following the promotion of our current postholder to a position in another Trust, we are seeking a new values-led Chief Operating Officer to join our Executive team and report into our inspirational Chief Executive, Ifti Majid.  This is a broad portfolio including operational services, estates and facilities and information technology. As a central leadership position in the Trust, you will share corporate responsibility for further developing our aspirations as a culturally intelligent organisation as well as contributing to our future strategic direction.  With responsibility for developing a diverse portfolio of services you will focus on co-production, continuous improvement, learning from mistakes and promoting innovation, whilst ensuring that our systems and processes provide assurance of the quality and impact of our services to our Board, Regulators, and wider System.

We are keen to hear from inclusive leaders working at or close to board level, with experience of leading the operational delivery and development of diverse and complex healthcare services.  Sharing our values and our focus on cultural development, you will empower our front line and operational leaders in the provision of high quality, person-centred services.  You will quickly build credibility across a wide range of stakeholders with your proactive and progressive approach to collaborating across organisational boundaries.  This is a unique opportunity to directly impact on reducing health inequalities and to join a Board who role model inclusion and will welcome diversity and difference in your background and experience.
