An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Operational Improvement Lead for Elective Care, for up to 6 months in the first instance.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of Operational/Service Improvement within an Acute setting, and expertise within improvement and transformation. Proven experience of Elective Care/Diagnostic pathways is essential.

The role will be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps at Band 7.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead specific service improvement and redesign projects across the Trust to deliver improved outcomes and waiting times for patients;
  • Train and motivate an effective team for the delivery of agreed project goals;
  • Take lead responsibility for delivering national and internal targets;
  • Create and implement performance management systems;
  • Develop effective working partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives;
  • Identify where projects will impact on quality, safety and operational/financial performance.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Post graduate qualification or equivalent level of experience;
  • Project Management qualification i.e. PRINCE 2;
  • Significant experience of managing across elective care pathways.
